What Governs Your Most Important Sense?
The 5 Dynamics
There is a reason why most people consider their eyesight their most important sense. These dynamics explain why.
Why is your eyesight your most important sense?
Without eyesight your survival is threatened. Yet even though glasses and contacts can help to ensure your survival, with them you will not be able to live a truly fulfilled life.
You are not able to truly experience the 5 Dynamics of Eyesight.
- Dynamic #1: Survival
You came to this life for two reasons;
a) to survive as long as possible and
b) to procreate during that time.
Without clear eyesight your mere survival is at stake. It is hard to get water and food when you can’t see, and you would become easy prey.
Also shelter could be easily be taken from you. Plus, before humans invented visual aids, it would have been hard to find a mate to procreate.
Even though humans have invented visual aids, your emotional brain still fears for your survival when your eyesight is not there. Your Old Brain, the emotional center of your brain that is fear driven, still knows that loss of eyesight means a threat to your survival.
That fear is still there, whether you notice it consciously or not.
- Dynamic #2: Safety
This is the urge to feel safe in your life and surroundings. When your safety is threatened, your senses are on alert. Basically you feel under attack all the time.
With eye problems the fear for safety is ever present. The subconscious fear of losing glasses. Of being in the ocean or pool and not really knowing what’s going on around you.
When you look into the distance and the figure coming toward you could be a friend, enemy, or predator. Not knowing, if there are clouds or large birds in the sky.
So glasses and contacts can never overcome that level of fear because the threat of losing your visual aids is ever present. You may be able to suppress the emotions from your conscious perception, but your Old Brain, the emotional brain knows it’s there.
- Dynamic #3: Love & Connection
This is the urge to fulfill your true purpose: to keep your genetics alive. To do your part in evolution and make sure that your genes stay in the gene pool.
We can put cars, houses, money, jobs, status, or whatever we like around it, but at the end of the day our entire purpose is to keep our genes alive.
We choose a mate that we see as most suitable to continue our strain of life. A mate that will ensure the survival of our genes.
With eye problems that choice is inhibited by not being able to evaluate the other party properly. Yet even more important is the inability to connect intimately.
Sure we can wear glasses or contacts to evaluate our mate better, but in today’s world we need to connect to ensure the next generation grows up healthy and well.
We need to connect to our children directly and intimately to guide them through life. Plus we need to learn and teach them how to navigate through this world of stress and toxic food for them to know how to stay alive for themselves.
The challenges of survival for our children has become increasingly difficult with economies and society changing at rapid pace. And nobody prepared our loved ones about the life that is ahead.
The way our generation grew up is outdated, so we need to learn and adapt to the new ways. Then we can guide our children through successfully through life.
- Dynamic #4: Self-esteem
Part of helping our children to survive is to teach them to respect themselves. This can’t be taught though talk.
Actions speak louder than words, and you can only show them what it means to respect yourself. Self-esteem is feeling adequate. It means to feel respected from the inside, not needing validation for an outside source.
With glasses and contacts you naturally feel inferior to others who do not need glasses and have clear vision naturally.
So true self-esteem, true self-respect that comes for your own within can only be achieved when you feel strong and competent in your own abilities to survive. And that’s only possible without glasses or contacts.
- Dynamic #5: Self Actualization & Fun
You can’t live a fulfilled life when you settle for less than you know you are capable of. We all know our potential inside, and to live up to it is the level up after ensuring our genes survive.
It’s our urge to have the human species survive.
It’s your inborn need to fulfill your true potential; physically, mentally, and spiritually.
That is only possible when you are able to fully and openly engage in life. With a barrier between you and the rest, which glasses represent, there is no possibility that you reach your full potential.
Self-actualization also means fun. Things that you love to do. Activities that lighten up your spirit. When you are hidden behind glass your spirit is locked in, and many fun activities are impossible to really enjoy.
Like swimming in the ocean, in a lake, or a pool and feeling truly present. To live and experience presence, focus, and the “in-the-zone” feeling when you do fun activities. Without worrying about your glasses.
These dynamics build around your life like circles. Survival is the center, and each dynamic builds upon for a greater experience of life.
The basic happiness and fulfillment of an individual depends on his ability to expand into each dynamic and live it to the maximum extend.
